A Tarantino film brought to the stage, so many twists and turns throughout the story, the actors really commit to their roles and each of the performances are very strong in their own right. As an audience member, you will feel like you are right there with the actors at they are going through the moments as their characters. Lots of laughs, thrills, and suspense jam packed into this one hour of theatre, definitely one not to miss. ... full review

Zip Ties is a show that delivers exactly what it promises: guns, blood, and laughter. Writer Ben Schwartz clearly has a great deal of influences, yet his writing delivers a style all his own and establishes him as an individual worthy of being recognized. Schwartz's characters feel real and original, and the dialogue never feels forced or out of place. This made watching the actors deliver line after line of frantic, often very funny banter a total joy; they kept me waiting and wanting to see what would be said next. The show's plot is undoubtedly engaging and entertaining, but the writing is the real star. Zip Ties should not be missed; it's a perfect demonstration of what happens when personalities clash, a ticking time bomb of fun. ... full review

Zip Ties is a hybrid of Martin McDonaugh and Quentin Tarantino but Schwartz is very much a genius of his own like McDonaugh and Tarantino…what a bloody fun time. Great actors, intelligent and witty script and an awesome way to kill an hour. I absolutely loved Zip Ties and want to see it again! All the actors were incredibly engaging. Every actor brought so much to the stage and each were memorable. Bravo Benjamin Schwartz, I can’t wait to see more material from you!... full review

i thought the writing of this piece was fantastic, and truly some of these young'uns on the stage are gonna do some good things. The play was fast, quick witted, and at times it's in the zone. The play perked UP when the irish guy came onstage... (not just cuz he was good looking and talented, easy folks!) but honestly, for me, when he came out, he brought the others up to his level. (this could have had more to do with general urgency, and some stunning gun shots, but it's something to note). All in all, if Benjamin Schwartz is hoping to write for television, I think with a couple more of creations like these (which he may already have under his belt)... he's got his in. And I surely look forward to seeing more of his creations and the acto... full review

Reminiscent to Reservoir Dogs in style and spirit, Zip Ties is a solid work-in-progress. I enjoyed myself, and appreciated the production value (exploding squibs aren't something you see on stage every day, especially executed so flawlessly!), but I was a little disappointed that some of the performances seemed incongruous with the nature of the script. Choices that were loud, brash and larger-than-life seemed to go against the vibe of the dialogue and robbed the production of real menace and intensity. However, it's still a fun romp, and worth checking out. I'm looking forward to seeing how this show develops in the future!... full review

Benjamin Schwartz has created a bitingly funny, Tarantinoesque (is that even a word?) comedy brought to life on an intimate stage. Set in a seedy hotel room, it’s cast of characters create a palpable tension while not missing a dark comedic beat in its fast-paced escalation toward the unexpected ending. On one hand, snappy dialogue and wit abound; on the other terror and violence. I as an audience member was grateful to emerge not covered with blood. Zip Ties is so well written, directed and performed - Kudos! See it!... full review
