It is a well-known tenant that drama is easy, and comedy is hard. Nothing could be further from the truth. But what is so miraculous of comedy is the effortlessness of the performers that makes us laugh. Laughter is a particular trait, one that cannot be easily analyzed, but we call all agree that it is one our best, and in some ways, most noble aspects. The Halfwit’s Last Hurrah by Four Clowns is a mixture of satire, slapstick, sight gags, and acrobatics. All performed with the same kind of grace one would expect from a ballet, only this is exceedingly hysterical. It is truly comedic. And I dare to say homage to Ernie Kovacs, as the production has a slight edge and irreverence, yet still contains tight structure. Not a moment is wasted; t... full review

I love Four Clowns! Different from previous shows I've scene from them, this being more of a variety show, but it still has the wonderful energy and play I expected from the talented cast! I love that the audience was invited to be a part of the experience and we all giggled the whole way through together. ... full review

This show was brilliant. I loved every minute of it. From the preshow to the final song I was completely engaged. I saw this group do "That Beautiful Laugh" at the Playhouse a couple years ago...and they just keep impressing me! Kudos to your whole production team on a smash hit! This is one of those shows that you CANNOT miss!... full review

With this show you get a little bit of everything- singing, dancing, clowning, acrobatics, stilt walking and more! Yes, it's a variety show, but there is a story line to weave all the acts together. Go for a full night of laughs!... full review

I can't remember the last time I went to see a piece of theatre and had so much freaking fun. These clowns deliver a surefire hit. A great night of captivating theatre. This show was truly remarkable. I love laughing, genuinely, from my soul. This show had me laughing whole heartedly from the moment I sat down. The clowns knew what they were doing, and were fully aware of the audience, consistently, from start to finish. Most important, i felt that my presence was necessary, I felt involved. I don't ever get to see shows like this, and it was a true pleasure. Five out of five stars, two thumbs up, A+! Thank you four clowns for an evening of fun. I can't wait to see your future shows and honestly I dream of being a part of honest comedy such as your work, one day. If you are wondering about which show to see, don't be an idiot, see The Halfwit's Last Hurrah! It'll be the best decision you've made in a long... full review

Saw this show last week. Super hilarious! I loved every second of it. I was not expecting it to end the way it did, but it made me realize that this show wasn't just trying to make me laugh, but actually make me feel something. I ended up feeling for the characters. Especially Nimrod. She was superb... full review

Four Clowns has done it again! Always amazing and always hilarious, I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire show. The clowns broke the 4th, 5th, 6th wall on this one. I felt so involved in the show, it was like I was apart of it. In fact, I was. The ever so talented, Don Colliver, who played the strikingly funny Butterbeans Arbuckle, called me out in the beginning of the show and told the audience to "Blame Rebecca, if anything goes wrong tonight." It was an on going joke that never got old, because when something seemed to go wrong, he blamed me and there was a huge roar in the audience. I didn't want the experience to end. A big congratulations to the amazing director, David Anis and artistic director, Jeremy Aluma, on yet another ... full review

From the moment you arrive at the Lillian Theatre, you can tell that you're in for a night of goofy, fun-loving entertainment. The Halfwits' Last Hurrah gathers together the kookiest people in Hollywood to put on a show that is fast-paced, well-acted and sung, and strangely captivating, in the best way. The comedy is solid, the double-entendres are satisfying, and the characters seem like they've jumped out of a Saturday morning cartoon to give the Fringe Festival something to laugh about (don't worry, we're laughing *with* you, not *at* you). Get there early to get good seats; those in the front row have a possible chance at giving a cast member a kiss on the cheek before the show begins (I was so lucky)! Butterbeans Arbuckle, you really... full review
