My overall impression

In terms of acting, Kyla’s work is impeccable. Her seamless transitions from one character to the next we clear and distinct. It went beyond physical gesture, to the point she was truly embodying each character to the point you left feeling as if an entire cast had been on stage. Not many actors could pull that off, especially with the emotional range and depth of performance.

Those fluid transitions and economical choreography is a testament to the director, Jessica Johnson, as well.

In regards to the writing, Ms. Garcia’s language painted a visual picture so very appropriate for the setting, theme, and subject of the show. It was fantastical language with flirtatious and humorous edges. A true delight to listen to.

As a comedy writer, I loved the sense of humor of the whole play, my favorite being the Fairy who guides us through the tale. Every joke landed. Every. Single. One.

So well done. I am very glad I was able to see this production.
