With the exception of the narrator, the cast seemed farther away from the story than the audience. The acting was amateur, more like a high school play than a finished product. The actors delivered their stilted lines off into space as if they were reading from a script. In fairness, the characters were hard-to- play-cardboard caricatures: the predictable parents, the evil suitor, the bad boy protagonist with a heart of gold, the damsel in a bit of distress. And it didn't help that the dialogue was ridiculous. Such a great idea and such horrible execution. Runaway......
