Why hasn't anyone written anything about this show? R&WD is an amazing performance; athletic, image-driven, a well-composed and curated telling of Lewis Carroll works. I appreciate the loud, abrasive, rough qualities tempered with tender, intimate moments. A strong narrative with clever stylizations; consider checking it out. The performers are cranking out a stellar show.... full review

Having seen "Ravens and Writing Desks" twice at the Garage Theater in Long Beach, and loving it, I was curious to see how it would play at the "Hollywood Fringe Festival." With no set, this time, and minimal lighting, this production brought even more focus on the talents of this incredible cast. Lead by Tian Walker as Alice (of "Alice in Wonderland"), we went down the rabbit hole into a world that was fun, sexy, and sometimes scary. What a ride! I was thinking of going to see it again…would that make me a stalker…hmmm.... full review

"Why is a raven like a writing desk?" No one really knows, including myself. 'Ravens and Writing Desks' is a piece of genius inspired by Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." The play contains key characters that will be familiar to anyone that is used to Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" such as: the March Hare, the Mad Hatter , the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts and special appearances by Peter Pan and others from Neverland. If you walk in and out of this play confused or feeling like you missed something then that is the point. You're in Wonderland and the place isn't supposed to make sense or even use normal logic and reason from the world that we have grown accustomed to. There isn't a lot of heavy dialogue as ... full review

Since my son is one of the actors in Raven's and Writing Desk, it is hard not to be very impressed and enthusiastic about what a great show the group has created. The dedication, skill and intensity of all of the actors is remarkable. I would like to see this play move to a larger venue so that a greater audience could experience the amazing talent of the group!!... full review

Really good show. Lively, fun, exciting. The lady who handled the tickets was very rude and impatient. Also, I bought a button for five dollars and no one had any idea what I was talking about. I guess that was a waste. If you are interested in making it right, it would be nice to have it mailed to me. Thanks ... full review

I was only just made aware of this site and the opportunity to create reviews for the shows in the Fringe Festival. That being said, I saw the show Ravens & Writing Desks and wrote an extensive review of it for a blog that I run. I apologize for posting a link to another site in lieu of writing a redundant review here; however, my review is comprehensive, and I do not wish to belittle the serious time and effort that I put into reflecting upon the show by offering curious readers anything but my complete coverage. If you do not wish to follow the link, then I can only say that I found this show to be sublime. Here's the URL for my full coverage. Thank you. full review

Serene, tender, touching, exciting, scary, and emotional this movement show is art imitating life at its finest. Packed full of talented artist every performer and musician in this production is worth recognition. From beginning to end a flawless harmony of all the stages of the theatre, no job was left uninspired. Genius choreography and directing with the incredibly docile actors make a spectacle that one would only usually experience with a cirque Du Soleil show. This show reminds me that if there were any indication that magic existed in this world it would probably be in the theatre. Part of this magic is the show uses subjective story telling applying all of your own inspiration as an individual in this funny and strange world. The aud... full review
