Magnum Opus Players Present The Yearbook is just flipping glorious! A sharp, crisp, clever production with comic actors at the top of their game. The staging is bare bones but inventive and clean as they accommodate the numerous sets of a screenplay on a black box stage seamlessly with no loss of comedic momentum. The cast is uniformly fantastic. The delightfully droll narrator, Thuston Eberhard Hillsboro-Smythe, pitch perfectly played by Brandon Clark is a delicious counterpoint to the manic lunacy taking center stage. Monica Greene's intense and troubled Vanessa was killing me. Heather Klinke's sweet nerdy Leslie capped a deep well of suppressed rage that bubbled up to fine effect. Mike Lanahan's Ethan was just so perfect it hurt. B... full review

Magnum Opus' production of The Yearbook, a rejected film script, is nothing short of brilliant. I couldn't stop laughing, even though I tried several times. The cast is outstanding. The acting is crisp and effective. I laughed so hard I thought I was going to hurt myself. Monica Greene and Heather Klinke lead an amazing cast consisting of absolutely zero weak links. Couldn't recommend this show more.... full review

Holy Christ in a bucket of cheese! I now have Dwayne Johnson abs from the convulsions of laughing with unmitigated vigor while watching this show. I'll freely admit it, I may have peed myself a trickle. The actors perform a less-than-perfect screenplay word for word - misspellings, typos, confused idioms, and all. It's perfect fun. Go throw your money at this show.... full review

There's more to this show than beats the odds! Magnum Opus crushes it once again with "The Year Book". With a show this funny I'd normally tip my hat the writer, but in this case the opposite is what one ought to do. Hilarious show top to bottom, perfectly adapted, directed, and acted by the tremendous Magnum Players. Absolutely delightful - I cannot recommend this show highly enough, especially for anyone working (or trying to find work) in the entertainment industry. Go see it!... full review

My wife and I never miss a Magnum Opus show, and they have outdone themselves with "The Yearbook." Oh, it's so good -- 'cause it's so bad! The (unintentionally) awful script gives the Players great material, and they tackle it with gusto. The whole cast is terrific and the direction breezy. You'll laugh til it hurts. ... full review

Great performances in a sweetly awful script: everything you've come to expect from the Magnum Opus Players!... full review

"Magnum Opus" is an hilarious and, for anyone close to the arts world, tremendously cathartic show. Incredibly well staged, fantastically acted, and (of course) atrociously written, the show is a satisfying work, far more entertaining than the sum of the words on the page (thank God). I realize it may seem counterintuitive to praise the talents of the cast in a show that is intentionally awful, but that they are able to do so much with such bad material is a testament to their talents. One of the funniest shows ever, a great cast performing a frightfully terrible screenplay live. Sharp and hilarious!... full review
