“The Ojai Show, Notes on a Country Childhood”, written and performed by C.E. Jordan and directed by Debra De Liso, is a theatre piece of extraordinary imagination that, in fact, celebrates the imagination. The show is a breath-taking hybrid of vivid poetry and creative movement, delivered in an original acting style. This 75 minute solo outing for Ms. Jordan is based on her collection of 23 poems about her childhood in Ojai, California on a fruit and horse ranch from 1958 to 1963, entitled Fragile Borders. The 16 poems in the show are woven artfully together and take the audience on a journey back in time, back to the places of her heart, which turn out to be the very same places of their hearts. The Ojai Show is for all ages, all backgrounds, a unique theatre experience of vivid imagination.
