The actors are fearless and the play is brutal and does not spare its characters the destructive results of their choices. This is not a play for everyone, but if you are looking to be challenged or something new, White Hot will leave a lasting impression on you....

Really strong performances by a very talented cast. This is a rough and very gritty story that won't appeal to everyone however, having said that everyone who sees this show I believe will definitely have an opinion. Love it or hate it, no one will leave this show feeling apathetic about what they just witnessed....

The performances by these accomplished actors were spellbinding, keeping me riveted to my seat throughout; despite the darkness of this story, it was a real treat to watch Karina, Michal and Chris do their thing...I'd go see anything they do in the future......

This is a must-see. It's completely engaging, entirely theatrical, and very timely. This piece has the kind of original characters and heightened storytelling that remind us why theatre is necessary to revealing the invisible. Besides, all four actors give supremely professional, compelling, and daring performances. And big props to Ms. Hart for making such creative use of the small black-box space. I mean it when I say I couldn't bring myself to sit back in my chair. I laughed, cringed, and commiserated my way through the entire 60 minutes as though they had been 60 seconds....

Great show. Well worth your time. Excellent minimalist set and lighting design; crisp, fully realized directing; and fiercely brave acting. Would watch again....

WHITE HOT explores deep levels of the human dynamic. The acting choices and dirction by Caitlin Hart invite the audience into an emtional truth that most people deny about their personal experience and development - if for no other reseason but to function. Whether or not one has personally experienced such a devastating journy, most with identify with this raw and complex human experience. ...

super fucked up beautiful! stays with you like a sexy residue. the team bravely embraces the bizarre, and refreshing to see a production that is unafraid to be unsettling, as all theatre should be, in my opinion. thanks for taking risks, Vagrancy, the art world needs more explorers like you! ...

I had no idea what to expect from White Hot based on my interview with some of the team. They also invited me to their final dress rehearsal, so I saw The Vagrancy load into the space and heard some of the last-minute shenanigans that come with 15 minutes of in-space preparation – ah, Fringe!
As much as I love a few black chairs and blocks on a Fringe set, I also appreciate companies that solve Fringe limitations creatively. White Hot doesn’t require much more space than the Aslyum Lab offers, but they did need specific lighting. I can’t imagine this story, which felt like Pinter throwing knives, or noir on heroin, without the lighting shelves turned set pieces enclosing the characters into uncomfortably tight spatial relations (which wor...
