My overall impression
This show is about believing in yourself no matter what other people say. Even though this piece needs lots of work (one problem being her statistics which a lot of people are not going to agree with) she succeeded in pulling me in and respecting her bravery. Having a show of my own at the fringe and being addicted to reading reviews, I am sometimes tempted to become distracted with popular opinion – but this isn’t, or in my opinion shouldn’t be the primary reason why we make the art we make. Some are going to love what ya do and some will hate what you do and they’re always going to be disagreements about the truth, but Whore Logic taught me to withstand criticism and own who I am. She does. And whether or not you like her show, or find her is charming is I did, she is not afraid of who she is, and why she’s doing what she’s doing – and that’s more than I can say for a lot of people in this town.
