A remarkable accomplishment. Fast, funny, sharply written and precisely directed, my only wish was that it was being performed for a bigger audience. As soon as the play reveals its hand and shows you its twist, you will know you are in extremely capable hands. At 30 minutes, not a moment is wasted and you're left on the edge of your seat the entire show. I hope they expand this and get to do a longer run with it, I'll buy a ticket opening night....

"Vote for Tom Ryan" is both everything you expect, and nothing like it at all. The show is a sharp, witty sendup of our political machines in this country and the ease with which candidates can be corrupted at all levels of government. A fantastic, tight 30 minutes that run you through an entire election night and winks at all the political stereotypes represented in the American system. ...

Vote for Tom Ryan is a bitingly funny satire that packs so much into 30 minutes without becoming confusing. Hilarious, genuine performances keep us invested as our "heroes" make the final slog on election night. Between this and What The Chuck?!, political satire is alive and well at Fringe....

Drew and Brandon are a creative team to watch in the years to come, being able to transform topics that most people avoid, like politics, into something that not a single audience member can deny relating to at some point in their life. 30 minutes seem to be just the right amount of content and information for the story to feel satisfying while also leaving us enthralled and ready for another 30 minutes if it was to exist. Drew's writing has a voice that doesn't have to work too hard to deliver it's point, but will still make it's point with clever dialogue and original, humorous situations that make the metaphor of what is being commented on effortless to absorb. ...

A swift and snappy political parody with a zany cast of characters that doesn't take itself too seriously, but still reminds us that our government is predominantly filled with a bunch of nepo babies and juvenile over-achievers who will do whatever it takes to get ahead in life.
Senator Lionel Humphreys, played by Reid Emmoms, delivers a show-stealing performance, and is entrusted with some of the most poetic dialogue of the play, flowing beautifully as its spoken his smooth southern draw.
Fun and fast-paced, this show is a perfect addition into any fringe schedule.

A rather timely political satire that manages to be hilariously non-political at the same time. Yes, it's possible to poke fun at politics without involving any current partisan polemics. It's rather clever....
