One Person Show

These three original pieces were written, directed, and performed by recent graduates of the Art of Acting Studio Professional Conservatory. Developed in 2018 as a classroom project, each is an artistic and creative exploration of the life of a notable person throughout history.

Comedy Hoe is a one woman show written and performed by comedian Jil Chrissie featuring comic Angelica Mackey. This bold performance weaves fictional storytelling with standup comedy and comedic spoken word to address the adversity and hyper-sexualization that women face in America daily.

THE RIDE is a tale about struggling to reconcile seemingly conflicting identities: Gay, Arab, and Muslim. After being outed publicly in the LA Times, Ramy’s relationship with his family becomes strained as does his faith in God, sending him down a dark hole where he loses touch with his true self.

Pleading Infinity by T. J. Walsh. In this funny and moving solo play, Jonathan Ebeling is Bob Donovan, screenwriter, wrestling with life’s big questions including Hollywood, near death experiences, ghosts, UFOs, the creation of the universe, and, finally, the meaning of life.
