The Last PowerPoint

A truly amusing idea that was, for the most part, very well executed. While I have a small quibble with one consistent choice made throughout the show, in general I found it be a neat and fun concept that had surprising depth hidden below its 'failed' presentation.... full review

2 for 1

These are two great women who have put together very different but equally compelling experiences. I'm very glad to see that they're getting some recognition because they definitely deserve it. This production connects two very different ideas into a sharp, exceptional hour of theatre that everyone should go see immediately.... full review

REVENGE OF THE ROOTBEER: The Sequel To Night Of The Rootbeer

This play must be destroyed. No copy of it can be allowed to remain. Those who performed in the preview must be washed clean of their sins, at whatever cost to the rest of our morality. The theatre must be burned to the ground, its ashes spread to the far ends of the world, and no mention of this play must ever be made again. I will be picketing outside its front doors after I see it again.... full review

Klingon Tamburlaine

What do you expect this show to be when you look at the title? That is EXACTLY what you get--and sometimes, that is enough. The moment this production began and I realized we were about to see a Klingon theatre company's take on an old Terran play, I was absolutely ready for anything that came afterwards. And that's exactly what you get--a medieval play that seems tailor-suited to be transformed into a tale of the rise and fall of multiple Klingon emperors. The play lent itself so well to bec... full review

Once again, the Flat Tire Theatre Company proves that its strengths lie in crafting well-performed and engaging productions. The Circle Table generates a nice snapshot of the transition from high school to early life that happens to all of us, in one way or another.... full review

Red Bar

Dark, disturbing and not for everyone, Red Bar was most -definitely- my cup of tea. A treatise and a glimpse into a world where serial killers get acceptance and praise, love and affection because after all--everyone deserves it, right? ... full review

This show does feel to me to be a masher, but of ideas and intentions more than what I believe was the production's goal.... full review

Town Brawl

There's something to be said about a comedic interactive show. They're rare to see because it can be very hard to craft a show that is relies on both audience AND comic timing and make it work. Town Brawl, however, manages to hit most of its marks and gives you a fun and enjoyable example of exactly how weird town meetings can get.... full review

Batter Up! My Brain on Baseball

Regardless of how much YOU like baseball, you will love how much BRETT MOORE does. Brett's very personal exploration of his mind's fascination with baseball was an absolute joy to experience. Part one-man show, part game-show, this is one of the best pieces I've seen so far in this Fringe season. EVERYONE should come see this show immediately.... full review
