FOUR CLOWNS: THAT BEAUTIFUL LAUGH @ 2012 HOLLYWOOD FRINGE (PRESS RELEASE)

HOLLYWOOD, CA: Award-winning, nationally-touring company Four Clowns presents That Beautiful Laugh, conceived by Orlando Pabotoy, as part of the 3rd Annual Hollywood Fringe Festival this June. Set in a world in which everyone has forgotten how to laugh, That Beautiful Laugh follows a wise old man and a troupe of clowns on a poignant quest to rediscover that beautiful laugh. By encountering joy, love, mischief, pain, fear, and sadness, the ensemble delivers an audience-interactive and family-friendly performance as hilarious and touching as only Four Clowns can do.

Opening Friday, June 8 at 8:00 pm at Fringe Central, performances continue through the duration of the Fringe Festival on June 16, 21, and 23 at Fringe Central at Open Fist Theatre. Tickets are $12 for General Admission, $10 for Fringe Participants, and are available for purchase on the Hollywood Fringe website or at fourclowns.org. Fringe Central is located at Open Fist Theatre Company, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd. on Theatre Row in Hollywood.

Four Clowns received the Top of the Fringe Award last year at the 2011 Hollywood Fringe, winning over nearly 200 shows with their adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, as well as taking home the Best World Premiere and Best Physical Theater & Dance Awards. Their original show, Four Clowns won Best Physical Theatre and Dance at the 2010 Hollywood Fringe, is LA Ovation Recommended, was awarded Best of the Fringe at San Francisco and has toured to over ten different cities around the country. This highly-anticipated follow-up production is an invigorating match for the growing Family Friendly programming to be offered as part of 2012 Hollywood Fringe. Directed by Turner Munch, the cast includes Kevin Di Leo, Andrew Eiden, Dave Honigman, Connor Kelly-Eiding, Raymond Lee, Bri Price and Lis Roche Vizcarra and is produced by Four Clowns Artistic Director Jeremy Aluma. Orlando Pabotoy originally developed the piece in collaboration with the cast and Turner Munch in 2010. The Fringe performance marks a new re-working of the piece as devised by the current LA-based ensemble.
