Ovation Honors Award winner, Kristopher Lee Bicknell, presents a new silent play, “BEFORE THE RED TREES COME” at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2012.
June 12 – June 23 @ The Actors Company, The Other Space
Hollywood, CA – May 16, 2012 – Harrison Bergeron Productions and Geniuspills Entertainment present a brand new silent play, “Before The Red Trees Come.” This completely original production pays homage to both the era of American silent film and European absurdism. The show will open June 12 at The Actors Company Theatre, The Other Space, where it will continue its 5 show run through June 23. (Show suitable for all ages, material aimed for 12+.) Written/Produced by Kristopher Lee Bicknell and Co-Produced by Jessica Lauren Richmond, “Before The Red Trees Come” is a short play presented in a style that combines commedia dell’arte, clown, and mime into a fun and heartfelt display of physical storytelling that is not to be missed! The show follows Capire, a true everyman, as he discovers his place in the world based on events and interactions he encounters time and time again. But each time Capire starts to understand himself and his surroundings, everything changes.
The creative team includes: the talented cast – Kristopher Lee Bicknell, Michael Dias, Estela Garcia (who also serves as movement coach for the production) and Ruffy Landayan, Creative Producer Jessica Richmond, Properties designed by Kristopher Lee Bicknell and Michelle Zamora of Viva La Puppet, and Lighting designed by Haylee Freeman.
Harrison Bergeron Productions and Geniuspills Entertainment have been bringing quality avant-garde entertainment to the Los Angeles area for the past several years, and they are proud to present their most innovative and finely honed collaboration yet!
“Before The Red Trees Come” opens at The Actors Company, The Other Space on Jun 15 and continues until June 23. Two weekends only! Friday and Sunday, June 15 & 17 @ 9:00PM, and Friday and Saturday, June 22 & 23 @ 9:00PM. There will be one preview performance on Tuesday, June 12 @ 9:00PM. All tickets are $10, unless purchased with a Fringe Festival pin, in which case, tickets are $9. The Actors Company, The Other Space is located at 916A N. Formosa Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90046 – just south of Santa Monica Blvd.
