Crazy Dee’s THE SHIFTER Is Selected To Screen at Hollywood Fringe [Film] Festival
Los Angeles, California (June 14th – June 24th, 2012) – Hollywood Fringe [Film] Screens THE SHIFTER, part of THE BLKICE CHORNICLES Film Trilogy, written, produced, directed and edited by Crazy Dee; at The Elephant Annex Theatre at Santa Monica near Vine, during the Hollywood Fringe Festival. The Schedule: Thursday, June 14th @ 12:30pm, Friday, June 22nd @ 6p, and Saturday, June 23rd @ Midnight.
Stated to be extremely funny and entertaining by film watchers, THE SHIFTER was awarded its first film laurels at the Case Western Reserve University Film Society Festival. The film is part of a trilogy of films based on THE BLKICE CHRONICLES. THE BLKICE CHRONICLES is the web series Crazy Dee writes, produces, directs and edits; from interest in the story, DVDs were created. Titles include: FEMALES, THE SHIFTER, and SITUATIONS (slated to release late summer 2012).
What is THE BLKICE CHRONICLES? THE BLKICE CHRONICLES—Think—Barbershop Meets Crazy Dee’s CD Shop. Synopsis: A Man opens a CD Shop, 15 years pass, and he reminisces about the crazy situations and the various cast of characters who have patronized his business over the years—One Word—Hilarious!
THE SHIFTER tells the story of Crazy Dee encountering a strange being vesseled in the form of an innocent looking female. Based on a true story, THE SHIFTER keeps you on the edge of your seat, and entertained! Synopsis: It’s Halloween Night At Crazy Dee’s, and A Pesky Vamp Is Out For Blood! Lavonia Coalbin is not your ordinary customer, stopping into Crazy Dee’s on Halloween Eve. She has observed Crazy Dee and his business from a distance, and decides that the day before Halloween would be a great time to spring a surprise on Crazy Dee. But, unannounced to Lavonia, it’s going to take longer than she thinks to seduce Crazy Dee. As she returns, on Halloween Night, to continue her advance, a cast of characters enter Crazy Dee’s who end her plans in many varied ways. A film about faith and the strength of community verses a demon.
