It’s a big world out there for a little bean.

A girl named Bean tells the story of her so-far meaningless yet holding-out-hope-for-grandeur life in an admittedly awkward, unapologetically silly, and merrily self-deprecating light as she searches to find the dreams and fearlessness she had as a child.

LA Theatre Review says:

“Michelle Lema’s one woman show Bean is a very up close and personal experience; an experiment in intimacy and disclosure of those moments in life that make you who are, or who you think you are.”

“Bean has great heart, enthusiasm, and a real way about words.”

“Maybe you should be the judge, because after all she is a bean, something you can put in your pocket and perhaps later digest.”

The LAist.com says:

“These kinds of shows depend almost entirely on the performer’s personality and wit, and Lema has plenty enough to get her through.”
