KING NIGEL'S NERVOUS BREAKDOWN: LA PREMIERE
King Nigel's Nervous Breakdown
Following a passionate response to the independently produced workshop at the Victory Theatre, the original post-punk musical “King Nigel’s Nervous Breakdown” (written and performed by Satu) will make its Los Angeles Premiere as part of the Hollywood Fringe Fest this June.
“Captivating. Unapologetically stylish, singular, and raw.” [Jeff B.]
Five shows will be held at the Art of Acting Studio black box theater in Hollywood. Co-produced by Rantz A. Hoseley and Satu (Muse & Ire), the show will be directed by Hoseley, who also directed the workshop.
ABOUT THE PLAY
New York City, 1981: after a shocking public meltdown, post-punk singer King Nigel fights to maintain her sense of identity as her psychiatric captors determine whether or not she is fit to re-enter public life.
