After spending 2017’s Hollywood Fringe Festival in the bunker with a bunch of Adolf Hitler’s body doubles in the Encore Award-winning “Too Many Hitlers”, writer-performer Steven Benaquist returns to the fringe, again in a bunker, this time waiting out WWIII in a bomb shelter in “The Last One-Man Show (Literally)”.

Comedian Steve Goodman happens to be spending the weekend in a bomb shelter when Trump and Un push each other too far, and it’s Fat Man and Little Boy all over again. Goodman stems bouts of existential panic by amusing himself with memories and fantasies of characters he has known. Or maybe he’s just slowly going insane. Can he still “make it” when his presumed audience is entirely dead?

This is Benaquist’s third time writing and performing original shows in the Hollywood Fringe (beginning with 2016’s ‘Tony Danza’s Letterz 2 2pac: an evening with Tony Danza’ also winner of the Encore Award). His other work includes appearances on ‘Conan’, voiceover in animation (Dreamworks ‘Fishstick & Honeybear’), regularly performing on NPR’s ‘American Parlor Songbook, and stand-up (The Meltdown w/ Jonah & Kumail, Edinburgh Fringe, RIOT LA, Bridgetown Comedy Festival and more).

Steven Benaquist is a writer and comedian living in Los Angeles. He has been on Conan, written for Spike, History, BBC, and is a regular writer and performer on NPR’s ‘American Parlor Songbook’. He is a graduate of Vassar College, where he studied theater and performed sketch comedy. He has performed sketch, standup and improv at clubs around the country and in many festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe, RIOT LA, LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Bass Comedy Festival, New Orleans Comedy Arts Festival and more. This is his second Hollywood Fringe Festival and the world premiere of TOO MANY HITLERS.
