Los Angeles, CA, May 2, 2018. Fringe Management and Combined Artform present LAST
CHRISTMAS at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Tom is having a crap day. It’s Christmas Eve and
he’s going to miss the train home. Clingy girlfriend Nat is following him into the bathroom. He
can’t remember where he put the gifts she persuaded him into wrapping back in the summer . . .
So begins this West Coast premiere of LAST CHRISTMAS by leading Welsh playwright,
Matthew Bulgo. Part of “West from Edinburgh”, bringing top shows to Hollywood from the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Opens June 2 in Studio C – 6448 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles,
CA 90038.
In the story, Tom as he is confronted by the ghosts of his past when he returns home for
Christmas. Forced to face his demons, he attempts to rescue his family and his future. Will Tom
be able to save it all in time? “One of the best things on the Fringe.” – The Scotsman

    ABOUT THE PRODUCERS
    Michael Blaha (Producer) is an entertainment attorney, law professor, arbitrator and stage
    and film producer. Mike has also produced several shows at the Hollywood Fringe Festival,
    including “Richard Parker” (Best International Production), “Nigerian Spam Scam Scam”
    (Encore Award) and “Pick of the Fringe” (Best Cabaret and Variety Nominee). Internationally,
    Mike has produced over 40 shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as partners with Nigel
    Miles-Thomas in Fringe Management. Mike was one of the founding producers of Sci-Fest LA,
    the Festival of One Act Science Fiction Plays, which was presented from 2014-2016. Mike is the
    President of the Board of Directors of New Musicals, Inc., and on the Board of Directors of
    Filmmakers’ Alliance.
    Matthew Quinn , (Producer) (Combined Artform/Theatre Asylum) has been involved in
    theater production and venue management for over 20 years in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
    He created Combined Artform, as a production company in 1998 with Producer Bertha
    Rodriguez and has produced, co-produced, presented, booked and promoted hundreds of
    shows. He has been involved with over 20 shows in the Hollywood Fringe including “Pick of the
    Fringe” (w/Fringe Management). Also, in 2010, Matthew started the Encore Awards, for “best
    of” Hollywood Fringe and in 2016 Beyond Encores.
    Matthew Bulgo ( writer) trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA)
    and works as an actor, playwright and director. Matthew has directed and curated a large
    number of writing events for Dirty Protest and number of short plays for various events for
    Sherman Cymru. He is a member of the artistic directorate of the West Glamorgan Youth
    Theatre, directing many of their recent productions and he has taught acting, theatre studies
    and directed a broad range of theatre projects at a number of educational institutions across
    South Wales. Matthew is a core member of Welsh new writing collective Dirty Protest and is
    co-artistic director of True/Fiction Theatre.

    John Coppola , Director, John Coppola is a multi-talented director, producer, teacher and
    actor whose career has taken him from the footlights of Broadway to the soundstages of
    Hollywood. John began his acting career over twenty years ago, attending Yale’s prestigious
    Dramat Purple Crayon. John currently lives in Los Angeles, where he is in demand as one of
    Hollywood’s top acting coaches. As one of the co-founders of the Studio C Artists Institute, he
    offers his unique style of teaching and private coaching to a thriving group of students,
    established actors, and movie stars.
