STILL…THE PLAY INSPIRED BY 4:44
By Lucky Mor

June 7th – 24th, 2018 at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Playing on the Dorie Stage at the Complex Theater 6476 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038

LOS ANGELES, CA, MARCH 19, 2018 – Inspired by Jay-Z’s 4:44, STILL explores race, family, and the experiences that shape our lives.

After the passing of their parents, 4 brothers come together at their family home in Detroit to discuss what to do with their parent’s estate. Life-long misunderstandings and resentments come to the surface and threaten to jeopardize the already fragile family unit. 4 brothers, 4 different points of view, 4 secrets to be revealed.

Pulling from personal experience, writer and director Lucky Mor uses the fictional Steves family to express the many facets of being a black man in America today and the universal pitfalls of dealing with family.  At times, hilarious, at others, heartbreaking, STILL aims to cut to the core of sibling relationships, while showing a side of black male vulnerability very rarely explored.

Featuring an ensemble cast starring Lucky Mor (F#@K I Love U, Paula Deen’s Best Delicious) Thai Edwards (Shameless, Beyond the Shield), Maceo Fisher (Punk Rocker, Visage) and Kevyn Richmond (Book It!, Paper Boys)

Running Time: 60 minutes. Preview $10 All other performances $15
