What’s the right number of Adolf Hitlers?

TOO MANY HITLERS OR: THE DECOY DECAMERON takes us to a bunker in Berlin in the final days of WWII, where a dictator takes shelter… or is it just his decoys? As the bombs fall they sing, fight, and try to decide which of them is actually the Führer. How many Hitlers are too many? For some, one is plenty. Others can’t get enough.

Inspired by absurd icons such as the Marx Brothers and Terry Southern, TOO MANY HITLERS is a dadaist exploration of identity, dressed up as a ludicrous farce.

From the author and star of the solo show ‘Tony Danza’s Letterz 2 2pac: an evening with Tony Danza’, winner of the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival Encore! Producers Award, Steven Benaquist (Dreamworks ‘Fishstick & Honeybear’, NPR’s ‘American Parlor Songbook, The Meltdown w/ Jonah & Kumail). Rejoined by ‘Letterz 2 2pac’ director Joe Wagner (UCB’s ‘Midnight Show’, HBO’s ‘Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!’).

Steven Benaquist is a writer and comedian living in Los Angeles. He has been on Conan, written for Spike, History, BBC, and is a regular writer and performer on NPR’s ‘American Parlor Songbook’. He is a graduate of Vassar College, where he studied theater and performed sketch comedy. He has performed sketch, standup and improv at clubs around the country and in many festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe, RIOT LA, LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Bass Comedy Festival, New Orleans Comedy Arts Festival and more. This is his second Hollywood Fringe Festival and the world premiere of TOO MANY HITLERS.
