THE RISING

The funniest nightmare you’ll ever have.

Written and Directed by Armen Pandola

Part of the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival

It’s 2033.

“60 Minutes” turns into “60 Seconds” as the public’s attention span disappears but not their sick sense of humor.

Topsy Kardashian is having a secret affair with the Pope.

Google has purchased the IRS from the government.

The murder rate is the highest ever and The Gold House (formerly White) boasts, Number ONE again!

Governor Kerry Kale is about to appoint his son, Count Kale, as the new chief of staff, but delays the appointment until after Count’s high school graduation.

In the midst of all this chaos, a revolutionary group called The Rising is killing politicians. Assassinating at least one corrupt politician a day, The Rising boosts its membership into the millions. While the government denies that The Rising even exists, their high-profile daily assassinations can’t be ignored forever.

Among The Rising’s recruits is Rachel, an angelic-looking would-be assassin on a mission to kill Governor Kerry Kale, a man who makes Trump look classy. In an attempt to get closer to her target, Rachel finds the only person stupid enough to trust her, a sucker, I mean, reporter, Clint. Meanwhile, star news anchor, Scarlett West, uses Clint for her own purposes – to broadcast Governor Kale’s assassination, live.

In a world that’s only an explosion away, The Rising is happening now!
