Comedian and storyteller Christopher Piehler’s new solo show will have its world premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival

(LOS ANGELES, CA) May 16, 2016 — A HORSE WITH A VIEW, a solo show written and performed by comedian and storyteller Christopher Piehler, will have its world premiere at the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival in June.

After a series of heartbreaks, Piehler finds his own way of recovering from getting dumped: going on horseback riding trips around the world. From Ireland to Scotland to Hungary to Malibu to Australia, he falls off horses, into bogs, and back into love.

Piehler has performed at The Comedy Store, The Ice House, Flappers, and The Moth. His plays have been commissioned, published, and produced around the country. Most recently, he was commissioned by Providence High School in Burbank to write the world-premiere play LILY THE GLITCH.

A HORSE WITH A VIEW is directed by Thomas James O’Leary, who also directed Piehler’s RESERVE CHAMPION for the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Other recent directing credits include the critically acclaimed world premiere production of FLIM FLAM: HOUDINI AND THE HEREAFTER by Gene Franklin Smith at Malibu Playhouse. As an actor, Thomas is best known for his three-year run as the Phantom in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA on Broadway, as well as originating the role of Captain Schultz in Broadway’s MISS SAIGON. He is currently an instructor at AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts.

Performances of A HORSE WITH A VIEW will be at Asylum @ Studio C, 6448 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038.
