TAP OVERLOAD, A MULTIMEDIA TAP DANCE PRODUCTION COMPANY, MAKES ITS DEBUT AT THE 2016 HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL
LOS ANGELES, CA, May 2016: Tap Overload, an exciting Southern California based tap dance company, is premiering a new original tap dance story show Saturday, June 4th through Friday, June 24th, 2016 at The Sacred Fools Theater Main Stage during the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
OFFICE BEAT is a light-hearted, toe tapping, family friendly dance comedy. Tappy workers once happily shuffling through their days are in for a dramatic flap ball change when the arrival of a new Boss brings a strict no tap dance policy. An office revolt breaks out as everyone unites to bring tap dance back to the office.
OFFICE BEAT presented by Tap Overload features original music by Andrew Van Vlear, new choreography by show creators Gabe and Mindy Copeland and a dynamic cast of unique personalities with fabulous feet.

ABOUT TAP OVERLOAD – Tap Overload is a multimedia tap dance production company that has had great success in the past producing tap dance concerts with notable guest stars including Dianne Walker and Jason Samuels Smith. More recently, the company has produced many popular tap dance videos on their growing YouTube channel and are now venturing into the realm of theatrical entertainment. The mission of the company is to spread the joy of tap dance to as many people as possible and inspire new generations of young dancers to study the art form.
In addition to producing their own shows, Tap Overload has performed as special guests all over southern California since its inception in 2001. Some performance highlights include an appearance on the Chinese Dream Show that aired all over mainland China, the San Pedro Tri-Arts Festival, Playhouse West Showcases, Jazz Tap Ensemble Presents: Next Generation Tap, the Star Performing Arts Center Grand Opening, Thousand Oaks Tap Dance Day Celebration and the Orange County Tap Festival.
ABOUT CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTORS GABE AND MINDY COPELAND – The husband and wife duo are professional choreographers, directors, producers and performers from Southern California. Their credits include choreographing for and appearing on national and international television programming and in film projects. They have toured nationally and internationally as featured members of Rhapsody in Taps, an innovative rhythm tap dance ensemble directed by Linda Sohl-Ellison. The Copelands were featured soloists in the international tour of Caution: Men At Work Tap in China and were invited back as special guest tap dance coaches, choreographers and performers for the national television program Chinese Dream Show.
