(Los Angeles, CA)… BR Guest productions is pleased to present the world premiere of AFTERLOVES: LOVE LIVES IN THE AFTERLIFE at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival beginning June 15th, 2014 at The Lounge Theatre (Lounge 2) in Hollywood.

ABOUT THE SHOW
In the dating pool of the afterlife, there are a LOT of choices. Witness 8 couples of public figures across time and space attempt new & continued love with each other in this 2 person show. Comfortably straddling the worlds of sketch comedy & theater, this show will make you laugh at absurdities and ponder the deeper truths of our pursuits of love & fulfillment.

Are the Virgin Mary & P.T Barnum a match made in heaven (pun intended!)? Is Mark Twain ready to take the plunge with Joan of Arc? Come discover what happens next in the love lives of public figures after their chapters have ended here on Earth.

ABOUT THE CAST
Ron Hanks is originally from Little Rock, AR and received a BA in Theatre and English from Lyon College in Arkansas, along with an MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at Depaul University in Chicago. He lived and worked in Chicago and New York for a number of years before moving to LA. His credits include the National Tour of “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe”, his hilarious travel-improv webseries “Golden California”, and various sketches with CollegeHumor.com, Funny or Die, and Yahoo Sketchy.

Betsy Reisz is originally from Louisville, KY and received a BFA in Acting from the Guthrie Theater/University of Minnesota’s Actor Training Program. She has trained with The Groundlings & ComedySportz and appeared locally with needtheater, The Falcon Theater, Rancho Cucamonga’s MainStreet Theater Company, The Sierra Madre Playhouse, and The Laguna Playhouse, where she originated the role of Penelope in Rita Rudner’s Tickled Pink. Betsy is currently a part of the companies of PlayGround-LA, 2nd Sundays, Parson’s Nose & was a Finalist for the first season of The Reel Deal filmmaking competition. She performed her one-woman show, Tales of a Southern Girl, in Minneapolis, and thought a 2-person show was the next logical step.

AFTERLOVES: LOVE LIVES IN THE AFTERLIFE runs June 15, 16, 22, and 23, 2014 as part of this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival. All performances are at 7:45PM and are at The Lounge Theatre (Lounge 2) at 6201 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood. Tickets are $12.00 General Admission. $1 off with Hollywood Fringe Festival Button, and Pay-What-You-Can for Fringe Participants. Running time is 90 minutes with no intermission. Allow time for parking.
