Bryan Philip Cruz (he/him)

Born in Manila, Philippines, I moved to the United States at the age of 5. Growing up in Houston, TX, I maintained my respect for my Philippine heritage while assimilating into American culture. My passion for improvisational theater emerged alongside my academic excellence.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin, I continued to engage in improvisational comedy and was subsequently approached by an agent. While pursuing acting in film and commercials, I became SAG-eligible and also continued to work as an ER nurse.

I moved to Los Angeles with my wife and have been continuing my improv training at the Groundlings and UCB. During the pandemic, I worked briefly for Westbrook Inc., and I’ve since transitioned to comedic writing, specializing in comedy and medical dramas. Currently, I am the co-artistic director of the Pack Theater and am seeking theatrical representation.
