KERRY STRANMAN is a Comedian and Creative Brand Strategist based in Los Angeles who started doing stand-up comedy to make her way through a midlife crisis after quitting a job at what might be considered an oxymoronic “social good advertising agency” and earning a very Californian Masters degree in Spiritual Psychology. Now what?
She’s a cultural and human insights researcher whose ad agency experience includes working on big brands like Barbie, Google and Uber and is now a C-word (consultant) working directly with creative organizations like Sundance Institute, STARZ and a major private arts philanthropy. Kerry is Adjunct Faculty at Carnegie Mellon University in North Hollywood.
Performance credits include The Comedy Store, Haha Comedy Club, The Dojo, Tao Comedy Studio and The Virgil. She’s your refreshing middle aged lady sorbet to cleanse the palate between dick and dating app jokes.
Her storytelling is drawn from what it is like to try to follow her soul’s signs in her second act while navigating changing times and “the change”. She’s teeter-tottering between going for big wild joy and just trying to stay towards the light— but ultimately faith, humor and her eccentric community always pull her through.
