Katie Otter grew up traveling from back and forth from her hometown of Las Vegas, NV to Los Angeles, CA to see shows at the Ahmanson Theater, where her love for this world first began! She has studied screen acting, theatre, and musical theatre for over 12 years.
Since graduating from the USC School of Dramatic Arts and School of Cinematic Arts, Katie has continued to work on set and on stage. Additionally, she takes classes at The Groundlings and is a Studio Tour Guide at the World Famous Universal Studios Tour. Some of her favorite performance credits include leading lady, Alex in “Sunkiss” (@sunkissfilm), Britain/Rose (Ghost Quartet), Beth March (Little Women), and Chrissy (Hair).
Katie sees working in any capacity as a learning experience, but mainly adores stories about the human experience, finding herself drawn to ensemble and romantic comedies, independent dramedies, and coming-of-age stories.
Although acting is the main focus, she often finds herself wearing the hats of writer, producer, director, and has been the graphic designer and social media coordinator for several theatre productions throughout LA. Her work includes poster design & social media directing from HFF 2023’s Arizona Rain, a production which she also assistant directed, and the poster design for HFF 2024’s Pieces of Mirror.
If she’s not working, you’ll most likely find Katie getting goosebumps in a theater, dancing her little heart out in a Soul Cycle class, or capturing moments with her friends and family through her Super 8 camera.
