Michael Martinez-Hamilton

Michael Martinez-Hamilton appears in this production courtesy of Actors’ Equity Association. He serves as Artistic Director of Theatron Productions, a non-profit theatre production company based in Los Angeles. He is also a proud graduate of LACC Theatre Academy’s acting conservatory. He cut his teeth performing major roles from Shakespeare’s canon in an outdoor Shakespeare-in-the-park festival for several years before receiving his BA in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in playwriting from California State University, Fullerton. He received a Fellowship from University of Florida where he earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in acting. Upon graduating, he continued teaching acting classes as professor of record for several years at UF before returning to his home-state of California. Michael is the former Chair of the Acting Department at New York Film Academy’s summer intensive program at Walt Disney World, in addition to being a former professor of record at Santa Fe College, teaching theatre and acting classes. Currently, he works as an Artist-Mentor with Theatre of Hearts/Youth First, creating theatre and film workshops for at-promise teenagers in underserved communities in South Central Los Angeles, in addition to working with special needs students in institutions throughout West San Bernardino County. Later this year, he is expected to receive his teaching certification from the National Michael Chekhov Association.
