What I liked

I felt the characters meshed together in a way that was believable, their conflicts driven by the differences in their life experiences. The storyline takes the audience through a full range of emotions—frustration, regret, fear, but most of all love through all the challenges. The actors did an excellent job of conveying the depth of these feelings.

What I didn't like

I can’t think of anything. An excellent script with stellar performances by the cast.

My overall impression

This was a well-scripted play about the struggles of a family, a Mexican immigrant mother, her immigrant stepdaughter, and her American-born son in El Paso, TX. The struggles feel common to many immigrant families, when another all too common American tragedy strikes the family and the community where they live, a mass shooting.
