What I liked
Gail’s staging brought her very close to the audience and created an informality that made us feel like friends being filled in on a touchingly involving sequence of episodes in her life.
What I didn't like
nice use of lighting and music could be increased in further iterations of Gail’s work.
My overall impression
Gail Thomas is a talented actress who I have known mainly from her work on a series I produced called Beavis & Butt-Head. A consummate professional, versatile and easy to direct, she was a favorite actor of both Mike Judge and myself from the earliest days of the series. Since then, working as a writer and performer, she has developed her storytelling gift which is on full display in Patient 13, an engaging story of a personal life challenged by cancer and a unique story of recovery.
