A relationship can be easy to be in and work really well, but there’s something vague and important that feels missing. Is it stagnation or are we just “good together?”
Figuring out what to do with that can be extremely difficult, and Stuck wrestles with the dilemma in compelling, moving, and imaginative ways through the lens of Disney adults over the course of an hour. Both sides are well represented in Don and Shannon, who are right and wrong in their own ways.
Ultimately, it comes down to knowing who you are and what you want. Easier said than done. Much easier to determine the outlines of someone else rather than yourself sometimes.
What I didn't like
As the Shannon, I have some further arguments I would like to put in her mouth, but ultimately that’s still a signifier of the play’s quality that it got me thinking so much.
