“How to Be a Man” is a solo character/clown fever dream about the dehumanizing standards of performative masculinity. It is a personal expression of my deep curiosity in the patriarchy and its discontents; a stupid, silly, and fun take down of what it means to “be a man”. George Aivaliotis is just some guy. A man. Or something. He has a background in clown, character comedy, improv, sketch, and standup. He has made films, acted in films, and gotten dumped in a Dos Equis commercial. He was selected as a New Face of Comedy for the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal in 2019, and has apparently not given up on his dreams just yet. Hear the dude out.
