Jay Martel and John Lehr deliver deep, lived-in performances that make these characters come alive in startling detail.
What I didn't like
I’d love to see this show done with a proper set! The restrictions of the black-box space didn’t harm the show, but the details of the house are key to understanding the characters.
My overall impression
A hilarious and heartfelt journey into the dark heart of the middle-aged Gen X man. Speed Bump wrings big laughs and surprising pathos to the story of two suburban men who, after 40 years of friendship, reach the single issue that threatens to tear them apart.
