What I liked
WOW, does this cast have some energy! These are balls-to-the-wall performances. (Is that inappropriate to say?? I’m sorry if anyone gets offended by that phrase… but if you see the show, I think you’ll understand!)
I liked the theatrical device of starting at the end, but then playing from the beginning, and letting us into the story in bits and pieces. And so much humor and good music in the show! All of the details created a very specific moment in time.
What I didn't like
There were some sound issues. I know the night I was there, they held the curtain for some sort of technical issue, so it may have just been on that one night. But sometimes I couldn’t hear the actors. On the other hand, it was often very loud because there was a lot of commotion happening on stage. As an audience member, I could have used a few deliberately quiet moments to recalibrate and take everything in.
My overall impression
A wild party and a terrifying ride, all at once!
