What I liked

I liked the voice used at the very beginning. I loved the use of the slides from Aquarius Mushroom girl. It was a musical but really a story with sprinkles of songs that informed us of something new each time. Scorpio Ascending character was everything. Leo Mars served some helpful workplace tips and was a personal favorite. We all know that Leo Sun and so many more. The characters were all unique but still felt tethered to Emma which is how it should feel. I liked her way of sharing herself with the audience through this new found astrological discovery.

What I didn't like

Some of the light cues were very specific and clear while some were distracting. Having each character on a mark (or chart) across the stage to return to in relation to Emma in the center might clear that up no matter what’s happening with cues and give us some alternative levels and stage exploration to see.

My overall impression

You will learn something about yourself in watching Emma explore the many sides (characters) of her astrological birth chart. There’s something deeply relatable in each sign introduced. It was wonderful to see a personal journey of discovery, acceptance, freedom, and authenticity processed and shared in a such a creative way. Maybe we all need to call our own townhalls to meet all sides of ourselves :)
