What I liked
Taking us through the horrific highs and lows of the process: the scene at the Phish show where he’s describing the contents of the bag killed, I laughed so hard, the moments when he was tripping on his gurney. Loved the metaphor of people in a pass van with one annoying guy ruining it for everyone else. So relatable.
What I didn't like
Honestly, more of anything that allows us to fully experience his ridiculous journey. Everything cracked me up.
My overall impression
This show delves deep — literally, right inside your lower intestines. Johnny has this genius comedic presence: catlike, curious, so unique, and I was very invested in his insane journey to fecal freedom. I also loved learning more about the human body – it felt like an R-rated Magic School Bus! It has huge potential.
