What I liked
A mix of craftily delivered humor and downright shocking stories makes for a wild ride. I particularly related to Johnny’s borderline psychotic musical obsessions! I learned more than I ever thought I would about colons – it was fascinating and strangely engaging to hear him share tales of his surgeries, recoveries, struggles, and funny as hell mishaps. Sharing this stuff takes balls, heart, and a deft sense of humor. Johnny mastered all this and more. You gotta see it.
What I didn't like
As this was a “preview” show, of course there were a few video/photo/lighting cue hiccups – but even those wrangled a laugh from the audience. Nothing threw us off the scent of this journey.
My overall impression
Hilariously heartwarming show, straying into the bizarre in the best possible ways. Johnny Pemberton is such an engaging guy, hilarious and a master of keeping the flow going. Totally unexpected show, and absolutely worth seeing!!
