What I liked

How vulnerable and open Chris was about himself and his personal story, but also how challenging he was towards being part of a solution. The show keeps you guessing, while entertained, and hopefully thoughtful to how we see others as well as ourselves.

What I didn't like

I would’ve loved a blackout cue during the “scream” and a second in the darkness during that surreal moment, then a quick light back up for the “hello” but that’s subjective and nitpicky so I’m sorry. I’m curious why this section is even here? Let’s all do better.

My overall impression

Chris is a very talented and funny actor, as well as a show stopping comedian, whom I’ve always admired for his sheer tenacity and fortitude. Every performance I’ve been lucky to witness has moved me, or made me laugh out loud, but I believe this was his first to end racism for a brief moment. He made us laugh and cry, and told a very moving and honest story. Definitely recommend.
