What I liked

I was pleasantly surprised by the feminist turn this piece took. I had a moment of “oh no” when the pretty young women joined the uh… less young? men. Luckily, they are not there to fawn over the men, but to have complex stories of their own and all of it was a surprise. This is a clever piece, well-directed and beautifully performed by a solid cast with electric chemistry.

What I didn't like

There were a few times I had trouble seeing and hearing when the women were sort of behind the men. It’s thrust staging, which can be challenging, and some of the issue could be where I was seated, but I was in the front. The women are petite, and can easily be hidden behind the much larger men (it was when they were standing on DSR-USL angles that I had a hard time seeing).
This was a small thing, and didn’t interfere with my loving the show, I would just hate to see any words get lost.

My overall impression

A truly enjoyable night of theatre. As someone already a tad obsessed with theatre ghosts, this was right up my alley. It was an incredibly clever piece of writing – I haven’t seen anything like it before, and I couldn’t predict where it was going. There were many layers to this piece, at times funny, other times sweet and sad, and the performers were all excellent.
