What I liked
I loved the pastor character so much. It was such a fully realized, painful character in the midst of a sea of (fabulous) clowning. It grounded the piece so much and it allowed the rest of the characters to be WILD since the anchor of the piece was so grounded in truth and reality. I loved the pain and the humor and the anger and seriously everything I loved it, did I mention that I loved it? What is next? sign me up! You’re a star. ALSO I thought the lighting was incredibly dynamic. It made the shift between the characters so jarringly sharp that sometimes I got a little freaked out and I was in the front row. I just loved it.
What I didn't like
n/a this box is dumb when a show was as good as Flayed.
My overall impression
I found this show to be deeply brave, moving, hilarious, witty, exciting, disturbing, utterly fantastic and pretty genius. It moved, it kicked, it punched and I just really can’t say how impressed and excited I am to see work at this caliber. It was kind of everything to be honest. Josiah is a unique talent.
