What I liked

First off, great onboarding with a lengthy online questionnaire that put me in one of four factions. This kind of immersive experience, where once the ball starts rolling, it doesn’t stop, is great for “divers” like myself who love to explore every nook and cranny an experience has to offer, seeing how far you can steer the plot with choices. I decided early on to ditch my assigned group’s first side quest and instead pay my respect to Miss Valentina, matriarch of the family, who gave me her own special quest, which lead to another from a different character, and so on. Anytime I finished a task and stood around wondering what next to do, there was always a nearby character noticing my vacant stare and ready to offer me another quest to help them.

What I didn't like

If you’re more of a “wader”, or someone who likes to tread lightly in immersive, you may want to make that clear to one of the characters, who will likely assign a simple quest that’s easy for you to accomplish, and may even help you with it, but this show works best when you’re willing to lean in and play the part of a back-stabbing gangster. (I decided to be not only a double-crosser, but a triple-crosser at times)

The first section of the show featured various characters paying their respects to one of their recently deceased, which was good for world building and explaining character backstory, but the whole time I just wanted it to end so I could start playing. Luckily, the show runs roughly 2 hours, so there was plenty of time for that, although after an hour and a half, my stamina started to dwindle, but that’s just more of an indication that I aint getting any younger.

I did wish there was a more clear way to determine how much was helping my faction leader with each accomplished task, (Like Hogwarts points? I don’t know…) but with so much going on, it would be difficult to track.

All in all, I had a great time! (And don’t mess with Miss Valentina, or your gonna get a visit from my knuckles, understand?)

My overall impression

Super fun gangster world to explore in this immersive experience! Never-ending list of side quests to explore from numerous unique characters.
