The pacing was great, and it struck a good balance between the more light-hearted and more serious moments. The lighting was really effective, especially the use of the lanterns.
What I didn't like
It was occasionally difficult to tell differences between characters, particularly the ones involving the grasshopper story.
My overall impression
We Are Nothing Without Hantu-Hantu is engaging throughout, and shifts easily between the horror and humor at the heart of all the interweaving tales. Suzana Selamat is an excellent storyteller.
