USC PROFESSOR MARK MOORE TO OPEN “CROOKED ROADS” AT THE LOUNGE THEATRE IN LOS ANGELES

June 11, 2012

Los Angeles, CA, June 11, 2012—USC Professor Mark Moore’s one-person show, “Crooked Roads,” opens on June 16 at the Lounge Theatre.

“Crooked Roads” follows Mark Moore’s struggle to reconcile the competing legacies offered by a labor organizer father and an MIT economics mentor (Rudi Dornbusch), until an unlikely creative impulse overturns his life. A play that explores relationships—fathers and sons, mentors and students, friends and coworkers—and the associated conflict of ideas, “Crooked Roads” asks how we make the decisions that mold our identity.

Mark Moore earned his MFA in acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University. In Los Angeles, he has appeared with the Antaeus Theatre Company and A Noise Within, among other companies. Mark also teaches economics at the University of Southern California, where he is an Associate Professor (Teaching).
