My overall impression
Kearney gives a tour de force. He brings a 19th-century man of letters back to life in the modern-day. The acting and writing are spectacular. The message of a scholar from an earlier day could not more relevant in the current day. Irrespective of your personal views, do yourself a favor and watch Ernest Kearney acting keep you on the edge of your seat. It is rare that the writing, directing, and acting come together with such breathtaking success. However, it is even more rare that all of these roles are played by the same irresistible talent. Hats off to Ernest Kearney whose writing, acting, and directing have clearly reached their pinnacle best. Oh, by the way, his character might have some meaningful, humorous, and poignant message for the men on our current Supreme Court who just yesterday decided that they know best whether or not women should control their own reproductive decisions.
