I enjoyed the scenarios in which these fictitious encounters occurred; the history was definitely well-researched, and therefore the characters felt lived-in.
What I didn't like
There were only a few moments that I felt could have been even more effective with a slightly more streamlined approach to dialogue. But the flowery language is also one of the pleasures of the show.
My overall impression
These four vignettes had some really beautiful moments and memorable dialogue. The intimacy of the scenes, usually just shared by two characters, made the conversations feel immediate and vulnerable. A very simple show, a simple concept, that packed a punch.
