What I liked
The actors all were invested in the right ways, i kept laughing throughout. The story was universal enough to see myself in each character and that let me appreciate it on a more subtle and meaningful level. That so much was conveyed without set pieces or props or narration and was completely coherent is kind of amazing. Great direction, great writing.
What I didn't like
I didn’t see any fat that could be trimmed. I’m not a theatre or drama person so i’m sure there’s some there but to me it felt lean, quick, not rushed and appropriately paced and emoted. Good work team!
My overall impression
The story is a nice dive into the complexities of relationships. Because the production and acting was executed so simply and effectively, the story and characters really took center stage and it left me considering all the ways the human heart and emotions and choices shape and flavor our lives. Beautiful story and funny!
