What I liked
The opening act was so so funny. Strong performers all around. I loved that the main character came back from a hospital with the coping skills for her mental health that now everyone around her needs. The show was so funny and all the characters were so distinct. I also loved the use of Tech to project the paragon live stream feed.
What I didn't like
The size of the space did not help this small cast. The performers often had nothing to “lean” on- so to speak. Sometimes it felt like they were stuck having a conversation in the middle of an empty room.
My overall impression
A great modern depiction of gym culture and mental health through a comedic story! The characters where dynamic and asked themselves and each other the big questions without taking themselves too seriously. This show is about putting your health first… in actually healthy ways.
