What I liked

The world of Teaching a Robot to Love is just slightly off-kilter and kept me smiling. The Amazon-esque “Advernado” is looking for their next big project and it’s leader Mr. Norton Norton is fantastically over-the-top. Really all of the characters are slightly less grounded, but all of them work wonderfully (through great performances) to support and play off of each other. No one character is “too much” and instead they make a cohesive feeling world, where everyone is a little eccentric and it’s very charming.

What I didn't like

I would have liked to see Lavender developed a little more, she felt like she had a pretty abrupt change of heart. It didn’t break anything for my family, but it did feel sudden.

My overall impression

This is a Fun show with a lot of heart and laughs. I loved the songs and thought the cast brought a lot to it, reinforcing the humor with delivery and choreography. Solid messages about identity without being preachy. My family was laughing equally at dialog, song lyrics and choreography. Totally worth your time.
