What I liked
The lighting and technical elements were stunning! Unbelievably so.
The way the three soldiers if Iraq sit in stools behind the actors present in America is brilliant! You must see this show to understand how brilliant it is. Can’t say more without spoilers.
What I didn't like
This show is brilliant top to bottom. There is nothing I didn’t like.
The performances were amazing by a cast of extremely talented and capable actors. The only improvement I’d offer is recognition that the space is small and intimate and at times the actors were projecting beyond the needs of the space.
My overall impression
This show is a beautifully and intrinsically directed, every movement, moment, is so clear and full. The direction stands as a foundation for the performers to shine! This is the best ensemble piece I have seen at Fringe this year.
I love a show where the threads of the director can be clearly seen and blended in to the performance. And this is that show. A beautiful marriage of great performance and great direction.
